A TAXI driver killed in a crash on the M6 yesterday has been named by police as Atta-ul Qudos Munawar.
The 31-year-old from Longsight in Manchester died following the collision which involved four vehicles at 2.20pm near to the Croft interchange.
An inquest into his death has been opened.

Police closed the road after a Peugeot motorhome, travelling north, struck the central reservation and went onto the southbound carriageway.
It crashed into his taxi and two saloon cars.
The driver of the motorhome, a 65-year-old woman from Cockermouth in Cumbria, is said to be in a critical condition.
She was airlifted to Wythenshawe Hospital with serious leg injuries by Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A 21-year-old man from Formby in Merseyside who was driving a BMW was taken to Warrington Hospital with severe arm injuries. He has since been released.
A Preston woman who was driving a silver Ford Fiesta was uninjured in the crash.
The three motorists trapped were freed by the fire service while paramedics were also at the scene. Other casualties were treated at the scene.
The road was closed for more than six hours, causing traffic chaos, but it has now been fully reopened.
Anyone with information who may have seen the incident should call PC Jordan on 0845 458 0000.

I have no idea why this accident happened - I am sure that will all become clear eventually. Whatever the cause though, whoever is to blame - if anyone - it will not bring back Qudos. He leaves behind a wife and two young children. I know he is going to be greatly missed.
