A MAIN route through east Warrington is set for weeks of closures from tomorrow, Monday.
Warrington Borough Council has published a road closure notice for Manchester Road.
The section of road in question is near Hollins Green, between the A57’s junction with Warburton Bridge Road to its junction with Glazebrook Lane.
The council has published a temporary prohibition of driving order for the road to allow teams to carry out resurfacing work.
According to the order, this will be effective from Monday, March 4, for seven weeks, between 7pm and 1am.
An alternative route has been drawn up taking motorists via Manchester Road, Woolston Grange Avenue, Birchwood Way, Birchwood Park Avenue, Warrington Road, Holcroft Lane, Glazebrook Lane and vice versa.
