Parents and others are becoming very confused by misleading documents sent out by officials, regarding Stockton Heath Primary School.
Letters and comments forms, already sent out by Tim Warren, have been re-issued to parents by the school governing body.
A letter dated November 29 was sent to parents with two comments forms attached. The first form asks: "Do you agree with the proposal to enlarge Stockton Heath Primary School buildings?" There are tick boxes for - No View, Agree, Disagree. There is no mention of the fact that this enlargement' means demolishing the existing building. Anyone who wishes to see the existing building refurbished and has, due to the nature of the wording, ticked the Agree' to enlargement box, has unwittingly agreed to the new build. This will, no doubt, be added to council's highly inflated claim of the number of those in favour of new build'.
The second formsimply asks people to sign the declaration, "I support the planning application to build a new school at Stockton Heath Primary". There is no section to complete if you do not support the application, therefore the only forms returned will be, once again, for the new build. Our council is very good at getting its desired results through confusion!
